This class proceeding concerns the operation of a facility responsible for the care and control of persons labelled with intellectual disabilities.

Since 1876, Huronia Regional Centre (“Huronia”) provided a residential program for people labelled with a disability. Huronia closed in March 2009. The Plaintiffs allege that members of the class were emotionally, physically, and psychologically traumatized by their experiences at Huronia.

The claims deadline is NOVEMBER 30, 2014. If you do not submit a claim by November 30, 2014, you will not be able to receive any compensation. Forms and information is provided in the site.
